•October 22, 2008 • Leave a Comment“Vote or Die!” What the f_ck does that really mean anyway??? I mean, dont’t get me wrong I truely believe that it’s important that every American get out to the polls and cast their ballot. I mean hell for a lot of us it’s a right that wasn’t just given to us. So with that alone we (minorities) should put forth every effort to make it to the polls, and vote. Hmmmm…. Perhaps that’s it: VOTE, or selfishly allow the dream of our progenitors DIE.

•October 22, 2008 • Leave a CommentSo I was expanding my knowledge by finding sophisticated words to replace vapid ones when I came across this quote by author, psychiatrist and born again Christian, M. Scott Peck:
“Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life is difficult – once we truly understand and accept it – then life is no longer difficult. Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.”

•October 21, 2008 • Leave a CommentSome people just don’t get it… Why is it that when a distinguished Black Republican and American figure endorses an intelligent and promising Black Democratic Presidential candidate, race becomes the motive??? It looks to me that this is a clear case of IGNORANCE taking over the mind of man. I mean if you’d actually listened to what Gen. Colin Powell said about Sen. Barack Obama one would see [CLEARLY] that his decision was not racially motivated. Here’s an excerpt from his interview with Meet the Press:
“So, when I look at all of this and I think back to my Army career, we’ve got two individuals, either one of them could be a good president. But which is the president that we need now? Which is the individual that serves the needs of the nation for the next period of time? And I come to the conclusion that because of his ability to inspire, because of the inclusive nature of his campaign, because he is reaching out all across America, because of who he is and his rhetorical abilities–and we have to take that into account–as well as his substance–he has both style and substance–he has met the standard of being a successful president, being an exceptional president. I think he is a transformational figure. He is a new generation coming into the world–onto the world stage, onto the American stage, and for that reason I’ll be voting for Senator Barack Obama.”
-General Colin Powell
This shit isn’t pulled when a White person endorse a White candidate! Is there a double standard here? Hey Rush Limbaugh, remember Jesse Jackson running for President? Did you see an endorsement from Gen. Powell then? WHAT THE FUCK ASSHOLE??? ![]()
